You can expect the heroine to have some type of dark past that would connect to the villains in the story whether it is a big monster or some fast animal. It is stereotypical for the heroine to want to be saved by the strong muscular hero but the thing everyone has been waiting for is the twist that could happen anytime in the story and the mood definitely changes.
